Polar Umbrella cool the Earth's surface to contrast the global warming. Through its desalination system and power, this Arctic skyscraper becomes a floating metropolis with NOAA research laboratories, renewable power system, dormitory, eco-tourism attractions and ecological habitats for wildlife. The salt water is used to produce a renewable source of energy through an osmotic power plant housed inside the building. In addition, the immense roof structure allows the reduction of heat gain on the Artic surface after the collection of solar energy. Thermal skin of the umbrella boasts a number of modules that make up a system of polyethylene pipes that pump water brackish. Finally, the Polar Umbrella also regenerates the ice sheets using collection chambers that freeze the ocean water.
